When the rain touches my heart...a new melody shall be born...
Sunday, July 19, 2009

Its gonna rain again...am i'm feeling super suckish. Turning all sad again. Life doesn't seem so bright when you're feeling that way....

Music...What is it to everyone? Is it something that everyone uses as a form of destress? Is it something that people just enjoy listening to? Something that you like because the person singing it is hot or handsome? Are your reasons for listening to music so trivial?....

I know that i might be in no position to say these thing. Afterall, everyone's perception is different. But i pains me when people say that music of the past just can't beat the music of the present....no offense to anyone...but what a joke that is...

Right now, if i would go out to the streets and asked him "Could you tell me the full name of Mozart?" chances are, i would get a stare, or if i'm lucky, i would get the answer "i dunno". But! If i asked "could you name me 5 songs that Avril Lavigne sang?" i would have no problem getting my 5 songs.

What are all teens turning into these days? What happened to the times when music was just music? With no vocal accopaniment, but still being able to express the feelings the composer felt to the people listening to it? Is pop, rock, heavy metal all that matters? Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, the list goes on. But just how many do people remember these days?

Its just sad to see people forgetting the roots of music. The prodigies that wrote great music. Rather than your pop stars these days...
